    Vaio Recovery utility .. wanna get it !!

    HI

    i really have a big problem,
    i wana Vaio Recovery utility ,,, not the update the main program..
    i searched it all the net but cant find it .. i need it to make a Recovery cd or to recover my laptop
    i dont have it on my computer .. couz the copy of the windows on it is not the one that come with the computer ... anyway
    can anybody help me to get that pogram

    Not 100% but im pretty sure ive heard somewhere you can order recovery disc's from sony $10-20

    yeah, u can order the recovery disc from sony. Make sure u know ur laptop's model. My friend didn't, so he had to pay like $70 to get all recovery cds from sony.

    Ok thanks alot

    but i already have the recovery on the HDD ... but i cant extract it from my hard disk ( that hidden partition) ,, ...
    so i need the program to extract it
    so if anybody can help me to get only the proram (VAIO recovery Utility)!!

    There should be a 'Vaio Recovery>Create Recovery Disks' option if you go to 'Start>All Programs'
    By the way, whats your model?

    thaks for ur interest

    I got that laptop from Germany so its a europe model
    its VGN FS-115z ... but i dont have the vaio recovery utility couz the windows is not the windows that came with the laptop someone has installed an OEM version
    so i cant find the vaio recovery utility thats all

    In that case, please restart the Notebook and press F10 key while Sony screen appears and check whether you are able to boot to Recovery console. If unable to boot to recovery console, then your recovery partition is damaged. You have to order Recovery CD's.
    Or go to Sony Web Support and download all Original & Updated Software and Drivers. Burn to CD's or a secure place. Reinstall Windows XP. Install Sony Software & Drivers and Go online and do Windows Update. Thats It.
