Hello community,
last week i got my brand new s-serie lap, SVS312C5E
after 5 days without any problems (wow) the touchpad started not to work as it's supposed to.
I realized that the problem only occurs for like 2-3 minutes after i start the notebook. after trying some gestures (and then trying some more) touchpad works fine, 'til i close lap again...
and yes, i tried to reinstall driver, sony's aswell as synaptic's.
so during first minutes, at first i can't do sh** with touchpad. after a while, if i use 2 fingers, i can scroll, and if i type with two fingers like left right left i can move mouse, with one finger can neither move it nor click. and then, "all of a sudden", touchpad is fine again.
well, maybe someone got the same problem and knows how to solve it, i sincerely hope so...
PS: Pls don't judge me cuz of my embarrassing english skills![]()

I got SVS13126PGB yesterday and touchpad have same problem with you. It not work 2 minutes after start. When I go to start-screen (yes, metro UI) some time touchpad not work again and some time I cannot use two-fingers scroll. I try to re-install but everything is up to date. very very annoying.

by now it works fine...
maybe just an temporary issue -
Try using the latest Synaptics drivers from the site (16.2.21 I think), they even bring updated functionality (4 finger flicks, and yes they work). The only loss is horizontal 3 finger mirror flick (3 finger back and forward work, you just can't set it to be mirrored like the vertical scroll).
Those drivers have been the most stable for me, whereas the Sony ones would randomly lose functions as like you described.
