I have a new Vaio S running windows 8. I installed a bluetooth mouse and since then the trackpad no longer functions as it did. I can move the mouse around the screen using the trackpad, however right and left click and gestures no longer work.

I particularly need the gesture to magnify the screen, since the very high resolution makes text very small in many instances (no, I do not wish to change the resolution).

Is there a solution to this?

Wow! 70 views and no reply.

Does this mean that nobody else has had this issue? If yours works just fine with a bluetooth mouse connected, please say so, even that will be a help as it will tell me that its something that CAN be fixed.

I solved this problem by removing the bluetooth mouse, rebooting and installing it again.

    Weird...

Never had this happen on mine, and I always use a BT mouse. Must have been some kind of driver conflict?
