    Is it possible to replace the optical drive of the Vaio S Series, and replace it with a SSD?

    It has already been mentioned and explained (with video's) in many different threads. One of them is even currently very visible in first page...
    We also expect from readers here they do some 'homework' first, instead for going the easy route only (and spamming the thread full with requests...)

    One warning that I saw in another thread is that, once you put your own SSD in the Sony Vaio S15, the interface drops to SATA 2 speeds from SATA 3. So you will lose some performance, though some say it's negligible in real-world use. It is not clear why Sony makes this happen.
