Is there anywhere I can get a Vaio S with Radeon 9700 and 80gb hardrive other than sonystyle.com? Lots of other places sell different configurations of the S witht he 9200 for much less than the sonystyle price.

Fry's Electronics just got some S170's in. Not sure about the 80 gB HDD but they have the 9700. Their website is outpost.com but the S170 is not listed yet, try calling.

Only good thing about Sonystyle is their $200 ecoupon if say, you want to buy the better battery (after you order the notebook) for $299.99. You get it for $99.99 w/ the ecoupon.

I've narrowed my search for a new notebook to Sony S170 or Asus M6000R w/ the 9100 video at 128MB! I once tried a Sony Z1 with the SXGA TFT display and it was awesome, but it only had 16MB graphics. Asus has these awesome SXGA displays in 14.1 or 15 wide and others. SXGA plus 128 video card is a combo hard to beat. My hesitation with Asus is that it is not carried locally for me to actually see.

Enjoy the Sony, if that's what you get. If you do, please post a review, it'll help me decide!
