This started happening when I was on the laptop. Keyboard suddenly started behaving as if the Alt key is permanently pressed.

Now I am on the login screen as I restarted it and pressing s that is part of my password shows the shutdown menu instead of actually typing s.

I have looked at the Alt keys and they don't seem stuck.

What can I do? I have to work on it in 2 hours.

So, it suddenly started working and I was able to log on. I removed my password.

Now, after using it for some time or starts acting weird again. Using the entry key in explorer will bring up properties, up arrow actually takes you back in navigation, f will bring up file menu.

I am trying system restore right now. Any ideas?

    Update: system restore failed.
