I'm new to the forums so would just like to say Hello to everyone. now on to the topic, I was wondering if i can use my old Vaio AC Adapter with the new Vaio SA. i'll list the AC Adapter specs below.

    Old: VGP-AC19V10 - 19.5V
    Input: 100-240V~1.3A(1.3A) 50-60Hz
    Output: 19.5V(19.5V) = 4.7A

    New: VGP-AC19V42
    Input: 100-240V~1.5A 50-60Hz
    Output: 19.5V(19.5V) = 4.7A

Thank you for the reply. I should of mentioned this earlier but the old one has a 2 pin power plug and the new one has a 3 pin plug, is that ok? The side that goes into the laptop is the same though.

It doesn't matter 2 or 3 pins AC plug.
You don't need to worry about that.

I'm using now VGP-AC19V36 (with my VAIO SB). It's AC adapter from ma previous VAIO S (VPC-S11) and it's working just fine. You should just look at output voltage (19.5V) and amperage (around 4.7A) or just on watts (around 90W).

BTW 3-pin plug is better, because it's grounded ;)
