Hi, I've just installed the modded R1031H4 bios, with advanced options.
I tried to set thermal management so to have the fan off with a temperature lower than 60 °C, however it doesn't seem to work :( My temperature now is 43 °C and I can clearly hear the fan spinning... Is there a way to solve this?

it's here, click on "100% Confirmed working", and go to page 3, click on "100%_Vaio_VPCSA_R1031H4_AdvMenuUlk_ByCamiloml.exe" to download the unlocked BIOS. and here is the original URL for for the modder who did it.
note that you're flashing the BIOS with your own risk.

I was the person who requested Camiloml for this one, and confirmed it working.
Remember the features in the advanced menu are not designed to be there. many of them will not work. many could brick your vaio. I have only touched ones related to HDD operation and virtualisation options. If you do flash this bios, DONT tough anything to do with graphics. I messed with this, with intent to disable the built in intel so it booted with the ATI, and achieved a pretty nice brick. Thankfully sony were oblivious :p
