I opened up my SA last night cause my fan started making weird noises. After opening it up, i found nothing obstructing it and closed it back up. After putting everything back together, I noticed my keyboard was only able to typed a few keys and the mouse was not working. So I thought maybe I disconnected something. As I reopened it, I noticed that the 2 wide bands (bronze + white) that were connecting the keyboard to the laptop was slightly disconnect so I took off the black tape, reattached it and when I put everything back together, the keyboard was back but still not the touchpad. Try checking the cable connection again, it's very finicky. The same thing happened to me one of the many times I opened the S13A's case.
Vaio SA touchpad not responding.
