I just bought my vaio sa a little bit ago and I have been using it for a few days. I was getting annoyed because my internet was not working. I figured my provider was going buggy and i patiently waited for service to return. I just got home and talked to my parents and they said their internet works fine (same router).

After testing numerous things heres the deal:

when my vaio is connected to the router (or even just has the wireless turned on) the internet hardly works, every now and then it will load a page (and it is the same for any laptop connected to the router). the minute i turn my vaios network card off my parents have internet again

    additional info:
my router has a password. i have tried changing my ssid. i have also tried a few different channels. my router is not wireless n

any help would be greatly appreciated.

You're not alone... lately my wireless connection would stop working. At first I thought it was my internet connection or router, but my brother's internet connection was fine, whereas my SA would say that it had no internet connection through the exact same router.

Sometimes it gives me no problems, other times it's extremely annoying. I'd have to switch the wireless on and off with the manual switch to reset it, and then it'd start working properly. Today it happened twice. I'm very close to calling technical support to see what they say. Faulty wireless card by chance?

im guessing mine is a faulty wireless card.

this guy kinda seems to have the same problem as me:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/net...et-access-when-n-mode-enabled-what-gives.html

i disabled my wireless n and still nothing is working. the main difference between my laptop and yours is mine never works online. it will work but its slower than my cell phone internet and doesnt even always work. and like i said it screws up every one elses connection too
