have you updated the AMD driver?

Do you frequently go to standby?

well, luckily for you, Sony's general hate of update drivers (okay, not really a hate, but they are very slow on updating graphics drivers, when a new one comes out almost every month [mainly due to games, but lots of minor bug fixes, too]), has been palliated with...

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/sony/592418-discoveries-vaio-sa-sb-sc-switchable-graphics.html

the AMD drivers are the official onces from AMD, the Intel ones have a modified INF (setup) file, in order to support the switchable graphics.

I will note, most of the time when my GPU driver crashes (in the past, I haven't seen it happen in a long time), it due to a bad program (this is normally resolved with newer drivers) or because I simply didn't do a full reboot for too long.

    Good luck!

My computer freezes on me at least once a day. The screen hangs up, and I cannot move anything at all. I have Coretemp running to see if it's the temperature, and it can't be the reason. I have the computer elevated now, with a fan (a deskfan) blowing air into it from behind while the laptop is propped up.

I can't figure out why it's freezing, It will freeze on me at all times. (1 power point presentation running, or just browsing the internet).
