I ordered a CTO Vaio SB3. I was wondering if there is any difference between the SB1 and SB2?

In particular, I know that some of the early SB's had poor screens (contrast, black density etc.). What are the chances they put a better screen in the SB3?

If there are no differences, whats the point of the different labels (I don't think it's specs: I've seen very high and very low spec SB1s in terms of CPU/ram/HDD etc.).

Also, I've ordered my SB3 with an SSD (I know it would have been cheaper to just install one myself but I had very good reasons for doing it this way). Does anyone know which SSDs Sony puts in their CTOs? Are they any good?

NB: I've read the entire (470 pages) of the SB/SA owners thread but I didn't find answers to these questions, so please don't refer me to that.

    Thanks in advance.

I doubt that you really read all the pages:
There are differences between the SB1,2,3 but only in what configurations you can buy and mainly in the different CPUs (very small differences. The SB3 has ~100mhz more than the same SB2 version). The screen hasn't changed at all. Some say they changed the Wireless Card. But that's it.
The labels are necessary because there are different CPUs etc. involved.

I don't know if the SSDs are good, but they are expensive and lack Sata III.

    Hope that helps.
