    Vaio SR DVD/BD Dimensions

    Hi what are the dimensions of the DVD or BD drives that come with the Vaio SR series. I would like to replace the present DVD-RW with a BD reader or burner but I already bought one that was too thick :( .

    If not dimensions can someone give me the exact model of the BD burner used by Sony in this series?

    I think the VAIO SR series are using 9.5mm thick Blu-ray drives, just like the VAIO Z series. :)

    You might want to check out the Panasonic UJ-232A Blu-ray drive.

    This is the DVD drive that was used in some SR models.
    AD-7910S

    This drive was also used in some Sony TT lines and this model takes a 9.5mm drive.

    One thing to keep in mind is that if you switch to a Panasonic UJ232A 9.5mm drive you will need to buy a new bezel from Sony parts. What that part number is for your model I don't know but that is something for you to look into.

    If you own a SR you can look in the device manager to find out what drive you have.
