I can't get the mode, fn or brightness buttons to work. When I install the Vaio Mode Settings program, it errors out on start-up. When I install the utilities off the website, it still won't work and I get a popup about the battery that makes the computer unusable. I've got all the programs extracted from the recovery drive and downloaded all applications from sony but I can't get it to work. I'll have to reinstall windows to get rid of the damn battery checker tonight and try to get it all working correctly. Build 7100 btwI can't get the mode, fn or brightness buttons to work. To get the fn keys working, the following installation order should be followed.
    1. SFEP driver
    2. Setting utility series
    3. Vaio Event service

This is the correct order for all Vaio models right?

Yes, this is what I followed for my FZ-190 and got everything working with Win 7 64-bit.

Yea, follow that, and it should work. AT first i had the same problem, then i realized that i remember reading something here on the forumss that you need to install the drivers in a specific order. After i did that it fixed all my problems, the FN keys and everything worked.
