Does anyone know when Sony are likely to refresh the SR? It's well overdue a re-design.

I know the SR was refreshed when Windows 7 launched in October, so I'm guessing we'll have to wait until at least January.

What would be like to see in a new model? Sony wouldn't want it to compete with the Z, so I don't think people should expect too much.

I too am looking forward to a Sony Vaio SR refresh. I hope they give us a widescreen SR with DDR3 and a better graphics card option. It would be also nice to get better built in speakers.

I have been waiting on getting a new laptop for some time now and have narrowed my options down to the Macbook Pro 13 or the Sony Vaio SR if they refresh it in January. The only reason why I am considering the Macbook Pro 13 is to try a different OS and I like their design. However the Sony Vaio SR should be impressive.

I guess we will have to wait and see...I just hope that Sony doesn't take too long!

It seems like both the SR and Z models could use a body refresh. How often does Sony normally revamp their designs?

January with the launch of Arrandale expect new SR and Z's (or their replacements). This question has been asked multiple times already in this section.

My apologies. This is my first time considering a Sony, so I'm very new to this section of the forum.
