Maybe this concerns other Vaio's as well. On Windows 8 only works volume, mute and birghtness settings. Touchpad disabling and switching video output by alt+f1 or alt+f7 does not work. I have anything installed, also i was clen-nstalling Windows 7 on other computers and always it was fine till now. My first Win8 and I can not disable the touchpad by FN key.

How to fix this ? Reinstalling hotkeys installer or other shared libraries and other components didnt bring me luck...

First question, does your laptop come with Win7 or Win8 factory installed?

Win factory installed but I installed fresh copy of Win8 on my ssd without recovery or the bloatware from Sony like I always do.

Since you installed a fresh win8, I would expect you haven't installed required drivers and utilities to make functional keys to work.
Go to your Sony Support of your laptop model, then download and install all missing drivers plus
    - Sony Shared Library
    - Hotkey Utilities

All is installed, it is not the first time I am doing this. It is the first time with Win8 and not working.
I have all the drivers from official vaio support page and all the updates.

Go to task manager and check to see if you have any VAIO xxx processes or services running.

Should the shared library be visible on the installed Programs and Functions list ?

Could someone post a screenshot how it would look like with OSD regarding turning off the touchpad ?
