I have a problem where my usb wired mouse randomly will stop working for ~1/2 to 3 seconds then start working again. Sometimes it makes the standard USB disconnect/reconnect sound and sometimes it doesn't. Anyone else have this issue?

Could be one of the following issues.
    1. a problem with the mouse - the wires or connection to the board could be loose inside the mouse, might have to check it.
    2. A driver issue, are you using the latest usb drivers for your laptop? Try updating or re-installing the usb host controller driver
    3. does it happen on all or just one of the usb ports or usb 2.0 or usb 3.0 ports only?
    4. Does this happen with another mouse? Or can you replicate this problem with the same mouse on another laptop?

I am leaning toward # 1 as in my experiences this is most common problem with wired mice - the wires get pulled or snagged and the connection to the board gets loose and when you move the mouse the wire moves and it disconnects and reconnects.
