Does anyone know if the laptop chargers that they have available in-flight (business class) would work on the SZ Vaios? Am taking a long flight KL-LAX-Philadelphia soon and would like to be able to have my SZ for company....

I have only flown coach since getting the SZ. I rarely bother to use a laptop in-flight, but I only do the long ones a couple times a year. Now, I have the Kensington adapter with the little jobby that is supposed to work on planes, I'm going to check it out. I've read that in-flight power systems may not work if the power requirements exceed 75W. The SZ adapter is 90W. I would make sure the battery is fully charged so it is not an extra power drain on the recepticle, and use the laptop on battery conservation settings to keep the power draw down, or else the in-flight power may shut off.

The in flight power receptacles are goig to be either a 12v auto-type adapter, or more likely, the "hypertronics" 3 prong plug. Either way, you'll need one or both of those types of adapter. I do't know if the airline provides those at all.

    See this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=44934.
I got the Kensington Universal 120W AC/DC Power Adapter and it works great! It's light weight, includes both an auto/air adapter and an AC adapter. They give you a number of interchangeable "tips" including the N4, which seems to be the correct one for the Sony SZ.

Separately, I purchased the splitter and the P3 tip for my HP h6315 Pocket PC so that I can charge both my PDA and my Sony SZ160P/C simultaneously.

I have used the Kensington Power Adapter on American Airlines flights, which have the automobile-type sockets in economy, business and first classes, and this charger has worked well for me. It has also worked well on AC current. When you remove the automobile-type charging plug, it reveals the EmPower type in-seat power plug used on United Airlines and some other airlines (except for United p.s. transcontinental flights which, like Lufthansa Airlines, use a standard plug).

What's kinda fun is Air Canada, who provides standard 3-prong 120V 60Hz outlets in seatbacks. :)

Yeah only some of their planes... but I've used it before between Montreal and Toronto... I think they have them on flights they think a lot of business people will take.
