I've been thinking of getting the SZ-160 Premium model. Now I see it is no longer available from the Sony online store but it is still available at other retailers. There is a new model, the SZ-270 and from what I can see the "only" difference between it and the SZ-160 is the size of the hard drive, 100gb for the sz160 and 120gb for the sz270.
Would Sony really come out with a new model that has one small change in configuration or am I missing any other differences?

The SZ270 also comes with the Cingular EDGE. I think the SZ270 is the replacement for the SZ170 that was supposed to come out, and the SZ281 is the SZ180.

Well the 270 and 281 have the same description as far as the display, and I think both of them are premium models. The giveaway is the weight (3.72lbs.) which means they come with the carbon fiber lid and razor thin lcd (led lighting).

If you want the SZ160, it's still being sold at Portableone.com
