hi, new to the forum, but i need some help please.

i currently uninstalled and installed a new version of protector suite QL for my sz330p, and it seems to have deleted "my safe" i use this function a lot, and would like to see if there is any way to recover it. when i uninstalled it, it was gone along with a lot of things from firefox (i installed a new version and all my firefox settings came back) but when i installed the new protector suite QL, my safe was gone from "my computer" and "my documents" any ideas on waht happened/if i can recover the data from it?

    thanks in advance.

Maybe no one's used those features. I've only used the log in feature so far.
How about describing them? and how you get them to work?

oh sorry, didnt figure no one knew about them. well it's the finger print scan that came with my computer. my older program was outdated, so i updated it with that link i had provided, only it erased something that was located (i believe) in my documents called "my safe" where you would need a password or a valid finger print scan to get into it. it could hold up to 2gig of information. not sure if it was from vaio or from windows.. i just know it came with my computer and when i updated the fingerprint scan software, it went with it... so it might be linked.

    thanks for any help

When you install the new updated software, it will detect there was a "safe folder" and ask if you want to restore it or permanently delete them. I did that many times when i have to reformat my SZ.
