The battery life on my SZ has declined by an hour and a half in the 2 years that I've had it, so I've accepted that I will probably need a new one sometime in the next few months to a year. The problem is that on the Sony-style website the only battery listed is for the SZ5-7, while my laptop is an SZ2. There's a slight voltage difference between these batteries: mine is 11.1V while the ones they're selling are 10.8V. Has anyone tried these batteries and did it work as expected?

Have you tried calling Sony and asking?
You are obviously looking at an original Sony product (so would I by the way :) ) so why not ask the company itself?
As to using a higher voltage - from a physics point of view I wouldn't recommend it.
