Hi... I received a Verizon USB720 Modem yesterday, and Verizon tech support can't determine why I receive "Unable to create new connection - Error 711". I'm running Vista Business, downloaded the newest USB720 software, and tried the fix listed on Verizon's site. The USB720 tests as working, and shows up in Device Manager but does not show up in Network Connections, so I am unable to complete the workaround on Verizon's site.

Anyone else have this issue and had any luck getting it to work?

    Thanks!

Same problem on a Lance Armstrong HP Laptop

Verizon has been no help and now I can't even get them on the phone - first said 28 minute wait, then said "Your party is not answering" and disconnected me. Then called back, went through the whole menu and ended up with the same problem!!

Verizon? Where are you when we need you?
