Vaio SZ6xx, damaged LCD (Pic inside)

MODEL: VGN SZ650N/C

I think there is something wrong with my LCD. There are two very faint lines that begin at the bottom-right of the LCD. It is visible during boot up and windows XP.

Has anyone experienced this problem before?

I have always taken great care of this laptop, so, I'm suprised to see this artifact in the LCD. This laptops is only a few months old.

Here is a pic. It's a little hard to see. I took the picture with my cellphone camera. What you are looking at is the bottom-right corner, next to the clock/taskbar.

I'm thinking of having it warrantied, if the problem persist.

I had a similar problem a week after buying my TZ — four white blobs on the screen that were not there when I bought the notebook. The Sony service center in Berlin replaced the LCD.

 

bobet96, thanks for the information. I'm going to try and have the LCD replaced as well.

 

Same problem on my sz1, screen replaced by a german service point in half an hour

 

I had the EXACT same thing after 4 months. crappy LED LCD display from SONY. Changed it under warranty...makes me wonder how is my laptop gonna survive when the warranty is over!
