    Hi,

My ageing Vaio SZ-75GNB worked well on battery until it fell of a desk a few months ago and didn't last half as long. I since purchased another part used battery on ebay, which seemed to work well for a while but now cuts off prematurely without warning. Then when plugged in and powered back on it says the battery is at 100%. I tried the old battery again which also just cuts out without warning.

Should I try a new, non-sony battery or does this sound like my laptop itself is at fault since the fall?

    Thanks a bunch

sounds like you replaced a bad battery with another bad battery.
