I currently have a SZ650 and was wondering what would the performance difference be between the SZ650 and the new SZ750? The difference in specs ,according to JR.com are as follows: <http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=4211957>

    SZ650: T7500 (2.20GHz,4MB L2 Cache, 800MHz Bus speed) with 160 GB of HHD
    SZ750: T8100 (2.10GHz, 3MB L2 Cache, 800MHz Bus speed) with 250 GB of HHD

looking at the processors alone, does it mean that the new SZ750 will actually be SLOWER than the SZ650? please correct me if I am wrong.

The T7500 will be faster...but since the T8100 is 45nm it will produces less heat and energy consumption.

Will they use the same 965 chipset?
Is it possible to put a T8100 to Sz680?

Yes peryn CPUs are drop in compatible with the santa rosa chipset, but changing the CPU might void your warranty.

I believe the SZ750 has WWAN and that antenna that I dislike so much! The SZ650 did not have an antenna and WWAN. My gut feeling is that we are coming to the end of the current SZ and soon in 2008 there will be a new "S" model.

Yeah, I liked the design and feel of the previous S series better as well, it had a smaller and more compact footprint for those that remember, SZ has been around too long, I'm getting sick of it!

the S series was better, no argument there...

    better keyboard.
    easier to take apart
the dynamics of the laptop was better

I still cant stand the keyboard of the SZ :)

lol i love the keyboard of the sz, oddly enough probably my favorite keyboard of all time, and i know im probably the only one who thinks that

and i have the sz660 with wwan and you can easily take off the antenna, takes 1 second and i would much rather have built in wwan then not have it at all just because of an antenna you don't like the look of?

Can you upgrade your wwan to newer wireless technology from same or competing providers?
I havent pulled the trigger on the wwan-equiped sz770 from amazon because Im under the understanding that you cant..
