Hi all.
I am in a bit of a fix with my Sony Vaio laptop (model VGN-BX195VP, I also found this number as well, PCG-9W4M)
The original screen had a massive dead pixel bar down the middle so after a lot of fiddling I bought a new screen off eBay that was supposed to fit my model of Vaio.
I have it fitted in and it displays so I can boot up XP and log in and all that but it is very stretched horizontally and very narrow vertically. My mouse pointer disappears off the right hand side of the screen and I can see the top of 'another' screen at the bottom of my screen.
Here is a link to a pic of the screen: (sorry its not a real link so please just cut and paste... Thx)

I have been in the bios, control panel screen settings and most other places that may have some screen settings but I cant seem to do anything.![]()
Im starting to think the screen is not right for the Vaio model.
But before I put my fist through it and hurl it at the wall I was hoping some of you talented computer savvy people may have some good ideas..![]()

You should buy a screen with the same part number as your old one. Return this one if you still can.
