Hi, guys I have a bit of a dilema. I was using my vaio one day and left it for awhile. When I came back the sound didn't work. I thought a simple restart would do, but no avail. Then I reinstalled the driver and still no avail. So i thought the card must be not working but it turns out that the computer does produce sound, but only through headphones! Please help me guys!

    Which Vaio??

I had the same thing happened to me but get this; the lime-green cord from speakers to back end was a bit loose, I flexed it in and prob solved ;D

If headphones are working than it may not be sound card itself..And you reinstalled drivers..does device manager show anything funky?
