    Vaio Status Monitor: Error

    I don't know what I did to get this, anyone know which component needs to be reinstalled / which service to be reactivated?

    When I highlight over the "Error", it says "Fail to receive setting information"

    I'm on TZ-91 /w Windows Vista Business '.' Any idea? :) Thanks ahead of time ^_^;

    These look like the proprietary programs that came with your Sony Vaio are not working. Can you check in Windows Administrative control to see if the services related to your Sony Vaio are running?

    I ran into this problem.
    Intall every vaio utils in the following order (1 SonyUtils DLL, 2 Sony Shared Library, 3 Setting Utility Series, 4 Sony Video Shared Library, 5 VAIO Control Center ,6 VAIO Event Service, 7 VAIO Power Management) and install the status monitor at last.

    I tried Gary's method, but didn't know exactly which service to look for so I then did it your way :) It worked! Thanks for the help xD

    What I did find out was... I can't just reinstall each program on the spot. I got to uninstall them altogether, reboot, then reinstall the VAIO Service in the order as stated above for it to work :x Else more stuff are broken after haha :)
