    Hello!

I am interested in buying the T11 for travelling when I do not want my Z to take with me in case of any damage :)

How are the upgrade possibilities on the T11? Can I fit in a standard 2,5 SSD for the HDD? What can be put in the slot where the Cache SSD sits in? Is RAM soldered or are there two free Slots available?
Is the screen on the T11 the same quality than on the T13?

The screens are the same on both T models but are rather poor in general. Vertical viewing angles are bad, and the image goes off rather quickly.

I believe the drive can be replaced.

On the SVT13 there is one empty ram slot that is very easily accessed.
I upgraded mine from the stock 4GB to 8GB - the max ram would be 12GB.

The HD is also accessable through the same panel it is a 7mm 2.5inch Hard Drive - you could also use a 7mm SSD in it as well.

Screen isn't that bad actually - only complaint I have is the constant fan noise which can get loud in a quiet room - otherwise performance is good and the laptop is very responsive.

How does it compare to the Envy 6t? I wish Sony would release a 1600x900 option, then I'd have ordered a T13 already.

I find that the performance on the Sony is better than the 6t - the screen on the 6t is a letdown and I do find that the 6t gets hot when pushed hard.

The 1366x768 resolution on the Sony being a 13" makes it more palatable than the same resolution on the 6t.

I have both laptops with me so if there are any direct comparisons you would like me to do - let me know.

How are the external temperatures? Does it exhaust much heat (the fan must be spinning for some reason)?

Would the fan noise issue apply to the 11" version also or just the 13"? On the verge of buying one to replace my MacBook but worried it will drive me mad, I was pretty disappointed with my last VAIO W due to the same thing. Would also be looking to DIY fit an SSD of some description.

The fan was spinning constantly when doing anything other than reading a web page. The exhaust put out a little heat but overall the laptop remained cool. The noise or speed of the fan didn't change even when pushing the laptop hard while playing SWTOR on it....
