I noticed that the rear portion of the Vaio TXN is slightly thicker than the Vaio TX800 series. Is the battery larger or the case redesigned.

It's slightly thicker due to adding the biometrics and TMP chips, as well as the hardware for the EVDO from Sprint being a slight bit larger.

I noticed at my Bestbuy as well that the TXN was a bit thicker than the TX750P they had and also confirmed it by looking at the dimensions of both laptops on Sony's website.

I'm pretty sure the TXN is a North American only model right and the only model thats slightly thicker than all the other TX's out there in the world? Thats pretty weird huh?

Well, the TX800s also have the biometrics and TMP chip, only difference between them and the TXNs is the WWAN antenna and EVDO modem. That must account for the slighter more thickness? Does that make it maybe also more durable or something?

I thought so as well, but it really makes no difference because its so small anyways...
