This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Vaio TZ - AppData and ntuser.dat.LOG? What is this?

    Hi.

    I don't ever remember seeing this AppData folder, before. What is it? Sometimes, the size of the folder is above 3 GB, and other times it is only about 100 MB large. What is this folder?

    Also, there are two files that suddenly appeared in the same folder called ntuser.dat.LOG1 and ntuser.dat.LOG2. What are these files?

    All three of these things seem to have suddenly appeared out of no where. They weren't in this folder, before. Can anyone give me information about this?

    Appdata folder appears because you have show hidden files selected in Organize tab. It stores all your application data in this folder.

    Again, unchecke the hidden files and the ntuse.data will disappear. Do not delete, they are part of the registry file for user data.
