Hi.. i just got a TZ with a 100G HDD.. i realised that i can slot in a Express Card SSD (Solid State Disk).. but i was wondering can i boot the tz using the Express Card and hence make it faster, similar to a TZ with built in SSD?? Anyone tried this before?

You can boot with an ExpressCard drive, but it won't necessarily be faster. Not all the drives are faster than hard drives or support as much bandwidth. There's a discussion on various SSD drive types in the Hardware Components and Aftermarket Upgrades forum.

    I have a similar question.
I want to keep vista on my 100gb hard drive. What I want to do is install XP in ExpressCard SSD so when I need XP, I can plug it and use it.

I think this has been discussed before and the speed of the Expresscard SSD is just too slow for running an OS, they are designed strictly for backing up data. Their speeds are no where near a "real" SSD.
