I want to buy a Vaio TZ (with 64GB SSD + DVD) for DJ'ing using Serato Scratch LIVE and timecode vinyl (see www.scratchlive.net ). I know someone uses a Vaio UX (with standard HDD) for it so I guess it should work.
However, I am not sure if the TZ package can dump the heat well enough. As in, how well does it handle running an application at say 50% CPU for a few hours. Does it overheat and throttle down the CPU (which will cause problems as the CPU might get too slow) or is it able to run the CPU at top speed for a long period of time?
Also, does anyone know if it runs 32bit Vista or 64bit Vista? (the application only runs on 32bit Vista / XP). Of course, I might switch to XP anyway, but I would rather not lose any functionality.

from my understanding, the most heat from long usage will come from the battery pack. but if ur a dj and the tz will be stationary, u can unplug the battery pack and just use the direct power line to the wall outlet. that might reduce heat. i think.

Just about all notebooks right now have 32bit Vista preinstalled, includes all Vaio models.

Cheers for the info
