    Hello,
It's now 6 hours ago since I started trying to get my Sony Vaio TZ92 working properly. However, I ended up with the following hardware not working:

    • Bluetooth - Tried to install the driver from the VGN-FE41 but it didn't work at all. It askes me to plug in the Bluetooth dongle...ehm sorry? So I aborted the installation.
    • Camera - I downloaded the TZ1/2 driver and the other driver (R5U870FL.inf) and tried to install them over the device manager - both of them didn't work or rather weren't accepted.
    • Microphone - It is working but the volume is very very low although I already increased the volume of the mic to max.
    • Touchpad - I tried to install the drivers but I couldn't find an installation program in the driver package from Sony. And since there was no device in the device manager which let me install touchpad drivers, I ended up with a touchpad that won't let me scroll up or down.

I'd appreciate your help very very much! I'm really desperate...:(

    Hey there,

Im currently have problems with my laptop - i got the sony vaio SZ. The computer cannot control brightness!

With the Bluetooth, During the driver installation when it asks for a Bluetooth dongle click cancel and that will continue with the installation. Continue installing the rest of your drivers. When you install your applications, install Bluetooth applications. Once you've installed everything - open Bluetooth Information exchange and that will continue installing the rest of the driver from before.

With the Touchpad, Use the driver from a different model of your computer or even a driver from a different vaio laptop that uses the touchpad driver. You cannot install it because it will say that you dont have the correct model of computer so you'll need to use a program called Universal Extractor. http://legroom.net/software/uniextract

Then open the extracted files of that driver that you downloaded and click on the install file, doing it this way will bypass the sony vaio protection crap.

Im sorry I cannot help you with the microphone, the only thing i can suggest is re installing the driver.

Good luck with your computer and I hope all of the above was helpful :D

    Regards,

    Hi James,
thank you for the hint with installing bluetooth. Could you please elaborate "install Bluetooth applications"? I tried to reinstall the bluetooth drivers, but unfortunately again it asked me to insert the bluetooth dongle.

I fixed the touchpad and the mic, so it's again the exasperating camera and bluetooth device, which are still not working.

HONESTLY, I'D PAY 50 EURO IF SOMEBODY WOULD MAKE IT WORK, or at least told me how to.

    yo,

Sorry, the bluetooth driver includes the bluetooth applications aswell. For me when it kept asking to plug in a bluetooth device i kept clicking cancel and it worked for me - make sure wireless switch is turned ON! Once the bluetooth driver has installed got to all programs and click on the folder bluetooth and all your apps are their.

I still cannot think what could be not coroporating with the camera, Sorry - Congratz you got the mic and touchpad working, hopefully the camera will work and so will BLUETOOTH!!

    Regards,
    James
