The sony drivers i load at startup are:

    c:\program files\sony\isb utility\isbmgr.exe
    c:\program files\sony corporation\smartwi connection utility\smartwihelper.exe /windowsstartup

my buttons work with these 2 sony programs loaded.

Have you run windows update since you re-installed? Also Sony.com should have most of the drivers for your model, it may be worth a look.

I already tried installing all the drivers. Most were a problem. But after a lot of work I have everything running well except my FN keys and my fingerprint reader

Run "msconfig" and make sure you have all services and startup processes enabled.

I'm not sure if there is one:\ If all services and start-up processes are enabled then i think you should get onto sony support about it.

The fingerprint driver is listed as:

UPEK® TouchChip FingerPrint Coprocessor Driver - Installs the originally shipped version of the UPEK TouchChip FingerPrint Coprocessor Driver.

from the Sony site. You may have to install the program as well from your recovery disk.

With respect to the FN keys, I believe there is also a program that may need to be pulled from the recovery disk, but I could be wrong. Check in the Semi-clean install thread. Someone else with the TZ had this problem and resolved it, I believe.

The next best thing is to buy portableones disk for $30 which rips out all the bloatware, includes all the proper drivers, and removes the recovery partition. Really easy. You do have to activate Vista which is a semi-pain. I had performed the semi-clean install, but portableone's disk was much easier, and well worth it.
