Hello guys, recently I managed to buy Vaio TZ21 in mint condition. Same as the one I had 10 years ago :) With original box and documentation but recovery dvd is missing and hdd was formated.

Does anyone have original recovery xp or vista recovery disc/dvd by any chance? I would love to buy it/get it/download it to have complete stock package.

    Please help. Thanks in advance.

Btw, I dig threw all threads about Vaio TZ here and haven't found any useful information in that matter so maybe you can help me here.

XP stock recovery bundled disk, should look very similar to this:

thank you for reply. I did the same when I had mine Vaio but I really wanted to have stock feel of it. I remember Vista barely worked on Vaio TZ and had a lot of junk and there was even preloaded spiderman move that you could watch after paying for it :) but anyway, I just wanted to exprerience it again :)

Is it possible for you to find them, please?

Btw, right now it works preety good (unless you start internet browsing) with Windows 8.1 and Debian linux.

Yes I did find it however I am working in Las Vegas and my stuff was left back home in Boston inside a storage location. Heading there in September only. Pretty sure I still have everything in my tech stuff box. May ask wife sometime over the weekend if she dig through and ship it over.

Remind me about it end of next coming week

I've got the XP SP2 downgrade disc which came with my TN31WN. I'll create an ISO and upload it to OneDrive for you.

I've looked at the contents on the disc (and the included downgrade manual), and the only driver on their appears to be ethernet. You were expected to download the rest of the downgrade drivers from vaio-link.com.

The ISO is uploading now, as is a quick scan of the booklet it came with. I'll post the link as soon as it's finished uploading.

For Drivers, unfortunately I don't have them anymore, and it appears Sony are no longer providing downloads for older laptops.

There is a set of drivers on Micha's blog https://www.micha.name/blog/2015/10/14/installing-windows-10-on-a-sony-vaio-tz/ but they are probably for Win7 and not XP. There are also some drivers hosted here https://www.driversdownloader.com/sony-drivers/sony-vaio-laptops-vgn-tz that you may have some luck with.

If I remember correctly, to get brighness keys working, you'll need the SonyPI & Sony Firmware drivers, and the Vaio Event Service. If you've got the 3g HSDPA modem, you'll need the Vaio network switch to turn this on, or else it won't even show up in device manager.

EDIT: Might be some of the XP utilities/drivers here http://www.driversguru.com/manufacturer/Sony-pid-R>4057661>4057884>4060283
