I'm settling on a TZ, probably the TZ130 (since I don't want the built-in camera). Is it possible to get a warranty that isn't voided by adding hardware? It's clear that Sony won't do this, but what if I order from a vendor like CDW or Newegg; would they install additional memory and still provide a warranty? I want the additional 1GB of RAM, and it would be nice to eventually be able to swap the HDD for a SSD.

I don't think adding ram would void the warranty.

Thanks, I guess that makes sense. What about swapping the HDD for an SSD? Has anyone done this and been able to get Sony to service the laptop afterwards?
