    Hi I have a VGN-TZ11XN.

I just wonder if someone managed to get a Broadcom Crystal BCM70015
mini pci-e to work instead of the wifi card?

I'm also interested if it's possible to fit a WWAN card holder like this:

    3G Adapter Board IFX-477 1-873-384-12

in my VGN-TZ11 even though the board was never there from the beginning.

I would like to put the WiFi card there instead of the 3G. Will it work, given it uses the pci-e USB interface? I really don't want to have a separate USB wifi plug.

There seem to have been an Expresscard version of the older BCM70012 but I can't find it anymore.

    Thanks, D

    Thanks for the link.

However the thread doesn't really say if they got it working 100%.

The chance of finding a WiFi pci-e card with USB support is probably easier than getting the Decoder board to work in the "crippled" pci-e WWAN connector.

Also did not get an answer if the IFX-477 board is possible to retrofit.
