    Hi
    can anyone help me

I just got a new sony laptop the VGN FS790. I am disappointed with the battery life, first time I fired it up it didn't quite make 2 hours!

I am looking for an extended life version, but cannot work out how long they last - no one seems to be saying much other than 1.5 times longer than the normal battery. If my 2 hours is standard, that means the extended version is only about 3 hours, which doesn't sound much.

Is this about the maximum I will get?

Also, does anyone know a good supplier other than sony?

    thankx

Did you try dimming the screen some and running in low power mode?

I imagine he did. Thats about how long my 790 lasts unplugged. It's not very impressive. I did get the 2.0GHz and I stuck a Hitachi 7200 RPM drive in so that isn't helping matters.
