    Vaio VGN-FS980 Lights come on but nothing else

    I have a Vaio VGN-FS980 laptop that I just bought that has a different issue than I was told. I know its an issue with the MB just not sure what. When I press the power button the 3 lights(caps lock, num lock, scr lock) near the power button come on and the power and hard drive light come on but no picture not even the backlight comes on, tried an external monitor too and nothing. Sounds like it powers up and hd spins up. Tried taking the RAM out, tried different chips, took hd out, tried different charger, tried holding down the power button without power.

    I have no problem taking it apart and soldering connections or anything like that just would like to know what I am looking for. Any help would be appreciated.
