As you boot up hit the F10 key. This will trigger the BIOS to start from the recovery partition.

I already try to activate the partition with VistaBootPRO and nothing again! I don't know what to do...
Nobody have any idea what I can do? -

Power off. Then back on and IMMEDIATELY start hitting the F10 key. If that doesn't work, you have messed up the restore partition in your attempts to activate it. Your only recourse then is to use the DVD backup set you created when you first got the machine. You DID create that set per Sony's instructions, right? If not, then you will have to buy a set from Sony. I think they are $15 plus shipping. DO NOT ASK ANYONE HERE TO SEND YOU A SET. It is technically illegal and asking can get you booted off these forums.

well, I think I messed up my recovery partition
And I did NOT the backup DVD... fu**...
If I buy the DVD, the recovery partition will work again? well, with the original DVD I don't need the recovery partition...
Where can I buy the recovery DVD?!
Thanks Gary -

I just wanna know if anyone can help me with this.. When I hit the F10 I get this "menu":
Code:Edit boot options Path: \windows\system32\winload.exe Partition: 2 Hard Disk: 6858cf47 [/NOEXECUTE=OPTIN ]
Thanks -

Nope, if you see that, you have hosed the partition.

Hi again!
With fedora core 9 (Linux), I can see EVERYTHING in recovery partition! It's good right?
Now I wanna burn the data do DVD, but I don't know how... I think that is NOT just burn the files to the DVD and it's done... there is a process to follow right? -

No, just because you can see it doesn't mean it's "good". The mere fact that you can't use the F10 trick means it is hosed. Period.
What you SHOULD have done to make the DVD backup set was to use the Vaio Recovery Center. It has an option labeled "Create Recovery Disks".
To get to the Vaio Recovery center, click Start | Help and Support | Backup & Recovery. Scroll to the bottom of the help page you will see and click on Launch Vaio Recovery Center.
Or
Click on Start and in the search box type "Vaio Recovery" you should see ""Vaio Recovery Launcher" as one of the things it finds.
But I have very real doubts that it will work for you now, since the F10 key doesn't function as it should.
Gary -
but the files SHOULD work... There is autorun an boot files... It's like a windows boot DVD... I think i will try, maybe it will work... Better than pay a new DVD

Then try it. But the fact that the F10 key does not work, indicates that something got screwed up. If you want to risk it to save $15, go ahead. I am not sure I would trust it. Especially given there is a cheap bullet proof solution at hand.
Gary -
but I can't find my model on the site you send me...
Please send me the exact link with the recovery DVD for my VGN-FZ31M, and if it cost 15$ I will buy it.
