    Hello Members,

I have been facing this problem with my Sony Vaio VGN-TZ37GN ever since I have received this laptop. This laptop came pre-installed with Windows Vista. Since I was unconfortable with Vista I downgraded the OS to Windows XP Professional SP3. I was surprised to find the the Device Manager does not detect the inbuilt Webcam. When i try to install the XP drivers provided by Sony it gives me an error saying "Failed to Update the Driver". i have tried to search for the drivers of the Motion EYE Webcam VGP-VCC7 through other sources but in vain. I have also tried Driver Updating tools such as Driver Magician & Driver Genius Pro. but they also did not detect the Webcam.

Now I have installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit. Still i have the same problem in this OS. I have tried installing the Webcam drivers for Vista Ulitmate 32 Bit provided by Sony. The installation Finishes successfully. But Still i can't see any webcam installed in my Device Manager.

Also to mention that my Device Manager in both OS's XP and 7 does not have any Unknown Devices left for installation.

Can anyone please help me getting this fixed???
