I have just purchased the VGN-Z21ZN, it came with Windows Vista Pro 32-BIT. I've tried to install Windows 7 64-bit OS with not much success. The OS installs ok but I think main issue is with the Nvidea Display Drivers causing issues with FN Keys, i'm using the Vista 64 which just about works.
I have just about managed to install Windows 32-bit after a lot of messing about but I really need to install 64-bit Windows 7 as Adobe Premiere CS5 needs to install on a 64-bit OS.
I was wondering if anyone has had success installing Windows 7 64-bit reliably?
Thanks.

Hello Nick,
you may want to check this thread:

Also for specific Sony utilities (like Fn keys, volume keys, brightness...) you may follow my post in the same thread

I have installed W7 64bit on my VGN-Z590 (Z11vn Euro equivalent) several times, no problems.

I can't get the VAIO Power Management to work, I get an install error, when I look in control centre the VAIO Power Management is there but is not populated and errors when I click advanced. I can't find @Sigma957
version:- -
Vaio power management 4.0 (VAIO_Power_Management_4.0_4.0.0.08240.zip)
the only one I have found is :- VAIO Power Management 4.0u - 4.0.0.07060
also the wireless card intermittently disconnects, the laptop cannot see the card and the sound hardware is intermittently is not detected.
Looks like I have 2 hardware problems with this laptop -
try this link:

or this one (you have separate Vaio Power Management installation here):
