    Hi All!

I recently opened and cleaned my VAIO VGN-Z46GD. After putting it back together it ran in speed mode fine. Then after a few days I switched into stamina mode for a flight and ever since I cannot get back into Speed mode...

I think I may have damaged the speed / stamina cable in the cleaning process.

Is their a way to activate speed mode via the registry or via some software hack?

Im running win 7 x64 Ultimate

    Thanks!!!

Try the hack in my signature to enable the nvidia hybrid icon (the "Stopping pop-up when switching..."). You might be able to change it to "speed" using that icon.

This is going to sound perhaps a bit stupid, but I was having this exact problem on my VGN-Z790J after I reinstalled (did it with the switch on Stamina) the official Sony Drivers. Weird thing is that the solution was to reinstall the drivers (did it with the switch on Speed) a second time and now I can successfully switch between Stamina and Speed without hassle. Also, when you're installing or uninstalling, make sure you're not connected to any external monitor, meaning VGA or HDMI. Hope this helped.
