I've seen a bunch of threads all over the internet on this issue but it doesn't seem like there's any solutions for it.

My computer battery was working fine one day, showing Good as the battery health and after taking it out of hibernation, it stopped working.

The computer would turn on with the AC adapter but wouldn't run on batteries. It simply shows battery is not dectected. Even when I install the sheet battery, it still says battery is not detected for battery #1 and battery #2.

I tried disabling ISBMngr.exe, and same result
I tried power reset by pulling out the battery and hold power button, nothing
I've tried every single BIOS would there imaginable, even all the hacked SATA-3 ones, no luck
I event tried doing a clean install with Win7 only and also tried factory restore and no luck with either.

When it's only the regular battery in there, the charge light doesn't turn on or off or blink at all. But when I put in the sheet battery though, the light doesn't change when the computer is on, but when I shut it down, the charge light blinks.

Any idea what kind of problem it may be? Do I simply need to replace the battery? And if so, where do I get a VGP-BPS24? I can't seem to find any new genuine batteries and I don't really want to risk dealing with aftermarket either unless there's one that I don't have to flash a bios to unlock.

This problem should be common enough that I hope there's a solution for. Unfortunately, Sony's no help with this either.

So I picked up a battery, when I installed it, the battery charging light came on.. for 30 secs and starts blinking.

The battery is now detected by the system but is now showing 0%, plugged in, not charging.

The battery also shows up on Battery Care and is showing as good, any idea on how to fix this?
