So i have a sony vaio VPCF111FX notebook and the fan is running very loudly and the laptop is overheating. What can i do to stop this overheating? I have an i7 processor and it is usually no more than 10%, never been over 50%. Please help?

PS: I am also running windows 7 home premium 64 bit if this helps.

If you are sure this started right after a BIOS update, you have 2 options:

    1. Roll back to the previous version of BIOS. This IS possible, at least on Vaio S.

    2. Call sony and explain the situation - they should either have you called by an engineer or take your notebook for repair...
