    Hi,

    This is my first post on this forum. I have read several threads and found them very useful, so thank you.

    My question:

    What i have;
    I have, as the title sais, a Vaio VPCZ11Z9E with the hybrid graphic system. The drivers i use are the latest ones published by Sony.

    The problem;
    When i have my computer on stamina mode ie. not using the nvidia geforce card and i right click my desktop to reach the meny for personalize, create new folders etc the meny shows up instantly, no delay at all.

    When i have the switch to speed, using my nvidia geforce card(which always use while at work and plugged in) the right click on desktop has delay/lag to show the meny, the windows 7 thinking animation shows up, for up to 3 seconds before it actually pops up.

    My conclusion is of course, that it has to do withe nevidia card/drivers.

    Are there any solution to this? Does anyone else have the problem? Should i do a total reset with the recovery tool?

    Help and thoughts are appriciated!

    Thank you,

    Stefan Wallin

    This seems to be for win XP and i am windows 7 pro. Should i use it anyway? It also sais "the menu should be gone instantly". Will it remove my menu? Could you post a link directly to the file, the site is in asian and it pretty hard to understand ;)

    Oh, and as i posted, this only happens when i have my nvidia geforce activated, not the built in intel graphic card.

    Ha!

    I didn't even notice it before, but now that you mentioned it... yeah there was some delay. The Intel remove patch fixed it.

    Thanks for fixing a problem I didn't even notice... hehe ;)

    i thought i pasted the english link -_-;;
    sorry about that it was in Korean.
    but I don't know if there's a language called asian.
    This removes the access to intel display menu on desktop.
    the language doesn't matter as i used Korean version on English windows 7 pro x64.

    Thank you! This has always bugged me. I too am curious as to what exactly was removed. I don't even know what this Intel Menu was! Hopefully somebody can clarify on that.

    It's a dynamic menu item for accessing Intel graphics settings panel when you right-click on desktop (background). When it's enabled, you are running in Speed mode what happens is Intel utility/library is queried for whether that item should be added to right-click menu every time before that menu opens. Then that library has to check whether Intel graphics adapter is present and active. That check appears to take a long time when adapter is inactive.

    By running the registry patch you remove that context menu item. Intel graphics settings is still accessible from Start->Programs menu and from Control Panel, as well as (through several hops) from Personalize or Screen Resolution context menu items.

    Oo I see, thank you for that explanation! Helps to put my mind at ease that the option is still accessible in other ways.
