Just got my new Vaio couple days ago. I'm trying to get mobile broadband going and I notice Sprint & AT&T are the only options. So I pull the sim and pop in a Verizon sim, still the only software options are AT&T & Sprint.

Can this thing be configured for Verizon? I do not want an external usb modem. My old VPCZ1 uses Verizon internal.

Anyone change theirs over to Verizon???? Thank you.

Doesn't Sprint 4G use WiMax and not LTE/HSDPA+?

Not sure. But Sprint doesn't work in the areas I travel. I need Verizon.

    Sony was zero help.

I have WWAN on my Sony TZ with Sprint and i can tell you that fheir service is not that good. For example wafching Utube videos is a pain because it staggers even when you are in a good area.Guess it is a marketing strategy from Sony - Z1 was on Verizon.

Sony sucks? Do they advertise your model as Verizon compatible?

I may be wrong but it looks like at the begining of announcements(read somewhere) of the Z2 Sony was advertising Verizon/Sprint as carriers and now only ATT/SPRINT.

Yes and no. Depending on when and where you looked. The Z1 was Verizon.

Too bad Sony ignores their customers and just does whatever the hell they want. Guess when you're that big, you don't need to listen anymore.

How the eff does it matter what Z1 had? Are they saying on their page that "specs of new Z : refer to old Z" ??

you dont other to read carefully is not their problem. A company like apple exists for you.
