I can't say much for the build quality as i've never played with one. However, those specs are quite powerful, will play most games today at medium specs ~40 fps. (it's the GPU that's in the SB). The CPU is good enough for most everything except the most straining of things (ie. video editing, compression, etc.). The screen res is kinda low... but unfortunately it's standard fare for consumer laptops to have that res. Uhh, backlit keyboard (<-- soooo useful).

I dunno maybe try this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/son...5529-sony-vaio-ca-official-owners-thread.html

The problem with the CA/CB series is that they're more consumer oriented, and so, there's not many of them on notebook forums.

Does the high capacity battery stick out compared to the standard battery? doesnt say on their site at all. Also, would u all think getting a 7200 rpm hd would make more sense? I also have been using 4gb ram in the machine but i see a lot of options (from sonystyle) for 6 or 8. Not sure if thats worth it.

Whats the battery life for both of these type of batteries? Is there a better bang for the buck sony at similar size?
