Hi peeps i need your expertise, my lush vaio z arrived last week and Vista was full of bloatware. So i wiped the hard drive and installed my retail copy of vista 32bit, so it was a clean install. I have managed to get all the drivers bar the nvidia. I mean i tried installing the driver for the 9300 but it won't install it. I have tried every driver going. Need some helps peeps to why it won't install.
Error Message i get:

As you can see, doesn't quite make sense.

I had the same error when I downloaded the wrong one. I have the same 9300. I did not see I selected XP and not Vista for my download.

Mate it worked, the nvidia driver that was in these files installed. Big thank you fella. One thing i do not get is why did the nvidia notebooks drivers from there website not work?
One last thing how do i fix the stamina-speed function so that i do not have to keep restarting my laptop for the function to work?

The 9300 drivers of Sony are CUSTOMIZED to Vaio Z series specifically - i.e. the SPEED > Stamina switch + Z-specefic power-saving features.
They are not available off nvidia.com
That is why in EVERY clean install of Z thread it is STRESSED that RECOVERY disks MUST be created PRIOR to doing ANYTHING
Sorry for the caps - for emphasis only!! -
Ok mate i never realised that. One more thing then is it possible to get a newer driver then the one that was in the apps you sent me. I noticed that driver is fromy june (7.15)?
cheers
